Owl be there?
THE question ‘What do Owls Have for Dinner?’ will be answered at Mugdock Country Park tomorrow (Thursday).
Owls cannot digest the bones and fur of the small mammals they feed on.
Instead, these are formed into a pellet and popped out the mouth of the owl!
You are invited to go along and have a go at dissecting the pellets.
The countryside rangers-organised event is popular with all ages. Meet the ranger at the visitor centre.
There are sessions between 10.30am-noon, and 1.30pm-3pm.
The free event is wheelchair accessible.

MP at school award ceremony
ST Ninian’s High School welcomed Jo Swinson, MP for East Dunbartonshire, at an award ceremony and fashion show recently.
Ms Swinson presented awards to winners and watched a show displaying costumes from the pupils’ Body Image project.
The MP had previously visited the school to judge a filmed debate and discuss the Campaign for Body Confidence which she co-founded.
Ms Swinson said: “I was delighted to be asked to present the awards to such an amazing group of students. It was difficult to make a choice from the wide range of creative, unique and inspiring designs on offer.
“It was obvious that a lot of hard work went into the project – from the costumes right through to the staging, but it was worthwhile and the students should be proud. My congratulations go to everyone involved.”
