MY mum is special because she cooks my dinner. She washes my clothes and she is the best mum in the world. I love my mum and she is good on the Wii. She is very funny and I love her very very much.

MY mum is funny and loving. She is helpful and everytime I get sad she gives me a big kiss and a big hug. Everytime I hurt myself she asks, "Are you ok?" And I say, "I am." MY mum is special to me because she is helpful to me. She is as beautiful as a rose. I think I should be helpful too, I could give her a rose, I could help her get across the road, I could help do the laundry. She can fly like a butterfly, do stuff that a wonderful mum can do.

I KNOW my mum is special because she does everything I ask. Whenever i ask, my mum lets my friends come and play. My sister, dad and I all think she deserves a little treat because of all the wonderful things she does for us. I really love her and want to get her the best present for mothers day.

MY mum is special to me because she trusts me to go to the shops myself or with friends. I think she deserves a treat because she isn't well and I think it would make her feel better.

MY mum is special and good. She's always in a happy mood. She takes me anywhere I want. She tucks me into bed and she always says goodnight. Every morning she makes me cornflakes and she takes me to the cinema.

MY mum is very special because she is kind to me all the time and she lets me have friends over and play with me. My mum has to go to work to get me nice things, sometimes me and my mum go out shopping and it is really fun. When me and my mum are in the house we play games like pillow fights and it is really fun.

MY mum looks after me, when I am sick she gives me medicine until I am better. She cooks my favourite dinner when I ask her to. I think she deserves to be spoilt.

I THINK my mum deserves this special treat because she is special and looks after me, my sisters and brother properly. Loves us for who we are and she also prays for us every night and morning. Her hobby is praying and cooking, she also takes us anywhere we want to go and this is why I think she deserves a special treat.

MY mum is special to me because she looks after me and my sisters. She takes me wherever I want and she would like someone to spoil her and she helps me and my sisters and makes the dinner. Sometimes she lets me stay overnight with my friends and she lets my friends stay with me. She is so special to me and my three sisters.

MY mum is so fabulous, she is always in a happy mood. I would be so lonely if I did not have her. She buys me everything because she loves me so much. She even takes me everywhere. She is kind and I love her so much. She is the best mum.

MY mum is special to me because she takes me out to spend my money. She takes me to the pictures, she takes me to Adventure Planet. She takes me to get great video games, she is the best mum on earth.

MY mum is special because she buys everything that we want, but she never buys things she wants. If she wasn't here I would have no-one to look after me or to care for. I really love my mum, she is the best mum ever. If she wasn't here I would be lonely, I love her very much, love you mummy.

MY mum is special because she is kind to my wee brother and I. She also surprises us by buying us toys and books. Her hobby is spending time with me and my wee brother and cooking.

I THINK my mum deserves a treat because she is kind to me and my sisters and she buys us lots of good things and I love her so much. I think she really deserves it. She lets me go to my friends house and lets my friends come to my house. I just love my mum so so much.

MY mum is as comfy as an armchair and as pretty as a rose. I like my mum because she makes me sandwiches and cooks good food. She is a good singer, she sings in a room when the music is on. I love my mum very much.

MY mum is as gorgeous as a butterfly, she cooks very well. I like playing games with her. I love when she buys things for me. I love my mum very much.

MY mum is as good as a princess and she's good at cooking. When I have my dinner my mum cooks it is yummy. I love my mum to bits.

MY mum is as beautiful as a butterfly and as young as a lady. She makes my dinner, she makes me laugh. She loves me very much. I love my mum and she loves me.

MY mum deserves to win the prize because she shelters me, loves me, respects me, she brings joy to me, makes me have a smile on my face. My mum makes my friends feel at home. Although she is not at home that much my mum will call me and I love her.

MY mum is special because she cares for me and my little brother. She is kind, makes me feel safe, makes my friends feel like they are home and takes me and my little brother Jay out every day. Sometimes I wish that I could do a lot more for her because she does a lot of stuff for me. I would love to thank her, thank you.

I THINK my mum is special because she cares very much for me, she buys me stuff I want. She shelters me, keeps me safe. My mum takes me on holiday, my mum's a marvellous mum. My mum does so much around the house and she cares very much for me that is why she deserves a very nice treat.

I LOVE my mum, she is special in every single way. She loves me, cares about me, she makes my friends feel at home and she respects me all the time. I thinks she deserves the best mothers day she's ever had and she'll never forget. I will try my hardest to do everything I can for her.

I THINK my mum is special because she loves me, she is always there for me and nobody else is like her. She shelters me and I wish I could do a lot more for her and respect her more. I often realise she does so much more for me, she takes me wherever I want to go, she feeds me and most of all she loves me.

I THINK my mum is so special because she cares for me, she respects me, she makes my friends feel at home and she loves me so much. Sometimes I wish that I can spend more time with my mum because I have a little brother, so she has to look after him. I will try my very hardest to give my mum something wonderful on mothers day.

MY big sister is very special because she has taken on the role of my mum who is no longer. She's kind and makes my friends feel at home, that is why I love her. She does so much stuff for me, I want me and my big sister to spend time together at mothers day.

MY mum is so special for every little thing she does, she cares for me, she's kind and makes my friends feel at home and respects me. I often realise she does so much more for me than I do for her. I think that my mum deserves a wonderful mothers day because she's wonderful and I love her so much.

I THINK my mum is special because she makes my friends feel at home and she shelters me and she cares for me. I often realise she does so much more for me than I do for her. Sometimes she makes me feel loved and safe and she feeds me everyday and sometimes I wish that we could be together everyday.

I THINK my mum is probably the best mum in the universe. My mum is very very protective with me and wouldn't let any harm come to me. My mum is very pretty and has a warm and loving heart. Every year for mothers day I want to get her something better than last year because a special mum needs a special present. My mum really deserves a dear and expensive present.

MY mum is so special because she cooks my favourite dinner and she lets my friends in my room to play the Wii. After we come out my room we all go into the kitchen and we cook fairy cakes and we watch a DVD and she lets them stay over and that is why mum is so special to me.

I THINK my mum is special because she helps me when I'm stuck, she's kind, she cooks and makes my friends happy. I'm often not in the house when it is sunny or at the weekend because when it's sunny I go out and play football. I think my mum needs a special mothers day.

I THINK my mum deserves to win because she's always there for me and never lets me down and never breaks a promise. She always helps me with my homework, maths or language and always does my reading, spelling and always cooks my dinner without asking for anything in return and always gets me surprises and always knows what I want.

I LOVE my mum and she is special to me and knows when I'm in bad moods. She buys me gadgets and always cheers me up. I feel safe in my mums hands. When I need new clothes she goes out and buys me clothes, I am so thankful of my mum. Sometimes I wish I could give back love the same love my mum gives me.

MY Mum cares for me because I am her oldest son. She helps me with my homework. Sometimes she takes me to the cinema and she takes me on holiday to my dad. Nobody else is like her and she is always there for me. She makes me happy and sometimes I wish you got an award for being a mum.

MY mum is special because she looks after me and takes care of me. My mum helps me with some things and helps my brother, my mum lets me stay up late on a Saturday. She tidy's my room, lets me play my Xbox all day.

MY mum is special because she loves and cares for me. She always has time to spend with me. We do housework, watch DVDs go into town, go to the cinema together. I think she is fantastic and I wish I could give her everything.

MY mum always helps me tidy my room and I always help her. She is lovely, kind and lets my friends stay and I love her. My mum is the best, I will support her all the time, I will be really helpful and I will look after her. I don't care what happens to her I will look after her. She is not like anybody else, she goes to my football games and I love her and she is beautiful.

Wester Cleddens Primary School

Primary 3

MY mum is special because when I fell down the stairs she caught me. Every morning my mum helps to put my tights on. She also helps my sister Blythe to put her clothes on. She helps me with my homework when I'm stuck on a sum or word. Some mornings she makes my breakfast for me.

Mirren Hughes.

MY mum is special because my mum plays the Xbox 360 arcade and the Wii with me. My mum also takes me to the cinema and Jurassic Jungle and Adventure Planet and plays monopoly with me. She gets me a McDonalds. That is why my mum is the best in the whole world.

Matthew Murphy.

MY mum is special because she always takes me out with my friends and makes me food as well, she also dresses me. So that's why she is my special mum. Also she takes me out for dinner with my friends and goes to my friends house.

MY mum is special because she helps me build lego and she's always there for me, I always love her. She is the best mum ever, I love her.

MY mum is special because she takes me places, she lets us get a dog, plays with me when I haven't got anybody to play with. She plays with me, makes dinner, makes spaghetti bolognese when I ask for it. Same with korma and a stir fry.

MY mum is special because she takes me to places like Adventure Planet. She pays for my swimming, football and karate. When I get an excellent report card she takes me for a treat. First she takes me to the pictures and after to Pizza Hut. I love her with all my heart.

MY mum is special because she always is there for me and she gives me good food. She dresses me well and she takes me places, she buys me things that I would like. She loves me with all her heart and she takes care of me. She spends a lot of money on lego for me.

Nathan Cadzow.

MY mum is special because she buys me things I don't appreciate. She does everything I want. She takes me places like the zoo. She makes me dinner all the time. I love her sooo much. Even though she tells me off sometimes I still forgive her. Before I come to school she helps me with my clothes.

MY mum is special because she straightens my hair in case I get burnt. My mum is special because on my birthday she takes me on a cruise ship. My mum is special because she holds my hand when the path is slippy. My mum is special because she helps me go to sleep when I have a nightmare.

Emma McMurdo.

MY mum is special because she helps me tidy my room. When I am bored she helps me do something good. When I do not feel well she looks after me. My mum helps me do my tables. She makes dinner for me.

Connor Emordy.

MY mum is special because I help her sweep the floor. She helps me tidy and I help her do the dishes. She sometimes helps me with my PSP when I got it and helps my little sister work her toy phone and helps my dad.

Michael Murphy.

MY mum is special because she listens to my solo even though they aren't that good and takes me to the cinema to see things. She also takes me to the Transport Museum, she even takes me to the campsie hills.

Annie Murray.

MY mum is special because she puts the TV on for me, she also gets me toast and she pushes the couch forward and she gets me hot orange. She took me to the carnival with my friend.

Jack Lawrence.

MY mum is special because she is the best cook in the world. She gets me nice things. She believes in me too. She cares for me when I am ill. She gets us presents, cool ones too. She helps me swim. My mum is the best!

Honor Gibson.

MY mum is special because she makes sure that I'm fine. She helps me when I am not well and I'm sore and she makes me treats and reads me stories and she sees if my homework's correct. She gives me nice things all the time. She believes in me. She is the best mum in the universe.

Adam Li.

MY mum is special because she always gets me presents. She makes me cake, it is so tasty. When I am bored she always cheers me up. She always gets me chocolate after school she always gets me cool stuff and is very nice.

Finlay Crozier.

MY mum is special because she plays with me when I am bored and buys me what I want. She bakes cakes with me. When i am sad she makes me happier.

Rachel Russell.

MY mum is special because she loves me, she respects me, she helps me, she agrees with me. She wakes me up in the morning. She takes care of me. She visits me when I am at the hospital. She makes me happy. She helps me with the drums.

Louie Regan.

Separate entries

I LIKE my mum a lot and she loves me too. She lets me get what I want if I'm good to my mum. My mum is the best mum in the world and she works very hard for me and her job. When she gets paid she takes or buys me something special. Also she helps me with my homework.

Darren Collins, age 8, Auchinairn Primary School.

MY mum deserves to win the mothers day competition because she's stressed a lot because she's a nurse and she's up at 6am nearly every week day. My dad works in a medical centre in Saudi Arabia (for 10 years). If she won this competition she'd be really happy. So please pick her to win and she could finally relax, thank you.

Euan Murray, age 11, Lenzie.

MY mum is very special because she helps me with all my extremely difficult homework, however, she also works a lot so that she can buy all of our family's needs. Another thing is that when I have been at the hospital she is always wishing me well. I love my mum with ALL my heart!

Zoe Porter, age 9, Kirkintilloch.

MY mum is very very special because she is so kind, helpful, loving, caring, hard working and cool to be around. Mum also spends lots of her money on me for special treats. I love mum always. As it is just me and my mum Heather.

Age 8.

WHEN I found out I had a brain tumour and had to have an emergency operation, my mum promised me she would not leave me. She would only leave the hospital when I could go home with her. She kept her word and tended to me might and day for three weeks and left the hospital only to come home with me.

Amy Smith, age 8, Airdrie.

OUR mummy is the best mummy, she hugs and kisses us a lot, tells us she loves us all the time. She is always happy and singing. We miss her when she is at work, when she comes home we are happy. She takes us to loads of places and takes me to youth club and Adventure Planet. That is why my mummy is the best.
