A TALENTED DJ is preparing to play at the biggest dance festival in Scotland.

David McKnight will join some of the top names in dance and trance music at Coloursfest 2013 on June 1 at the Braehead Arena.

The 24-year-old from Bishopbriggs has only been on the DJ scene for about a year. He was studying sport at university and did a broadcasting course and got involved in a radio show.

David then went on to work with Colours - which stages and promotes dance music events - and now plays every Wednesday on the online radio show, Trance FM.

David, who works in a call centre in Glasgow, will also play at Ministry of Sound in London this weekend.

The former Bishopbriggs High School pupil said: “I’m really looking forward to Coloursfest, it will be quite an experience to play it. I’ve been before and seen other DJs. It will be a massive opportunity.

“Just now I’m learning how to produce music. Hopefully I’ll get a couple of breaks and I can make it as a DJ full-time, but I’ve a long way to go.”
