IT’S panto time again – oh yes it is! – and the Herald has a magical competition for its readers.
‘The Wizard of Never Woz’ is the story of the Wizard of Oz . . . with a Glasgow twist.
The panto is running at The Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow, from November 28 to January 19.
Join Dorothy as she embarks on an adventure from her home in sunny Govan to the Magical Land of Never Woz.
Along the way she meets a ‘Scatty Scarecrow’, a ‘Tarnished Tin Man’ and a ‘Scardie Cat Lion’ and together they hit the yellow brick road in the hope of finding the Mighty Wizard of Never Woz.
They are helped along the way by Good Witch Glinda, but evil is lurking in the shape of the Wicked Witch of the West.
The panto has an all-star cast, including Pavilion favourite Dean Park as Leo the Lion, ‘River City’ star Stephen Purdon as Strawsuit Bob, funny man Johnny Mac as Tinny the Tin Man, Pop Idol winner and presenter Michelle McManus as Glinda, and introducing Radio Clyde’s Shebahn Littlejohn as Dorothy.
And not forgetting the Wicked Witch of the West brought to life by ‘River City’ legend Joyce Falconer and her henchmen, Jimmy Chisholm and James McAnerney.
The show also features Robert Hamilton’s Dancepoint, previously seen on Sky 1’s Got to Dance with The Box and Fear of the Unknown.
The Herald has five family tickets (admitting four) to be won for the performance on Thursday, November 29, at 7.30pm. To be in with a chance, answer the following question and send coupons to Wizard Competition, Herald Series, 11 Dalrymple Court, Kirkintilloch, G66 3AA, by next Wednesday (November 21)
What colour is the brick road in the panto?
