Aspiring footballers are being given the chance to hone their skills with a range of soccer schools provided by North Lanarkshire Leisure.

Youngsters from 18 months to 12 years old can enjoy top quality coaching with experienced SFA qualified coaches at leisure centres across the area.

The coaching sessions are tailored for all age groups and abilities and focus on learning the basics, skills development, team play, balance and co-ordination, passing, shooting, game time and most importantly – having fun.

Nicky Laughlin, football programme co-ordinator, said: “Football lessons provide a great way to boost youngsters’ confidence, develop skills, improve fitness and make new friends.

“We have top quality 3g pitches and indoor sports halls which provide safe and fun environments for kids.

“Parents are welcome to come along and watch their kids, and our training is designed to ensure everyone learns and improves.”

The soccer schools are running at Airdrie Leisure Centre, Birkenshaw Sports Hall, Broadwood, Iain Nicolson Centre, Ravenscraig, Shotts Leisure Centre and the Time Capsule.

Classes run in 10 week blocks and cost £31. Call 01236 437756 for more info.
