A RISING hip-hop star is hoping his latest musical release will put him on the road to success.
Derek ‘Del’ Haig (21), known simply as Del, has been writing lyrics since the age of 13 and has spent the last two years recording tracks at professional studios – while also holding down a full-time job in his hometown of Kirkintilloch.
Inspired by Dr Dre’s ‘Chronic 2001’ album, he recently launched his third mixtape, entitled ‘Deadly Combination’, which has won him hundreds of admirers.
Del’s growing fame has seen him perform in venues across the UK, including Glasgow’s G2, and collaborate with artists from New York and San Francisco. He’s now looking to build on his reputation and expand his loyal fanbase.
Del said: “Without the support from everyone I wouldn’t be what I am today.
“I have a lot more to offer and I’m meeting new people and learning new things – this is the career I have long awaited and I intend to give it my all.
“I appreciate everybody who is following me on ReverbNation and I look forward to bringing you bigger and better tracks.”
