It would be wonderful if you could dress up!

DRESS to impress at the annual screening of a festive favourite in Bishopbriggs.

The traditional showing of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ takes place next Tuesday and locals are being encouraged to dress up for the occasion.

In previous years organisers have put on dinner jackets and bow ties, but this year those attending the free screening are being urged to follow suit.

Donald Macdonald, chairman of Woodhill Residents’ Group, said: “Dressing up for the Christmas community cinema screening has become a bit of a tradition for group members. It’s an excuse to dig out the old dinner jacket and feel as if you are going to a film premier. We thought it would be nice to ask filmgoers if they wanted to do the same and get in the festive spirit.”

The film has been screened for the past three years by Woodhill Residents’ Group as part of their Christmas events. ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ will be shown at 6.30pm next Tuesday, December 6, in Woodhill Evangelical Church. The screening is free and seasonal refreshments will be served during the intermission.
