THE stage is set for a feast of entertainment and culture at a St Andrew’s Festival this weekend.

There are a range of events taking place in Milton of Campsie Village Hall including:

* Free art exhibition/sale with a special bargain section. It opens at 5pm on Friday, November 23, with live Scottish music. The exhibition is open all weekend except Saturday morning.

* On Saturday, at 7.15pm, the Campsie Scottish Folk Players play new arrangements of Irish and Scottish music, and some new compositions. Frances Diamond will sing two Irish songs with them.

Dancing to the nine-piece Campsie Ceilidh Band starts at 8.30pm with songs from Rena Scott, Bill Forrest and Anne Stevenson.

Tickets are £5 from Milton of Campsie Pharmacy or at the door if there are any left.

* There will be a free afternoon of jazz on Sunday, from 2pm to 4.45pm, with JazzCo - a ‘good-fun’ outfit performing songs from the ‘Great American Songbook’ with Chris Clark on guitar.

The art sale finishes at 5pm, after the jazz.

The St Andrew’s Festival is again supported by G66+Live.

Refreshments will be provided for all visitors throughout the events, with intervals at the concerts and ceilidh.
