BISHOPBRIGGS singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald has rocketed to the top of the Scotting album charts.

Amy appeared on The Rob Brydon Show this week on BBC2 and is revving up to be a guest on ‘Top Gear’

The Scots singer told Patrick Kielty of her ‘Top Gear’ dream during an interview on Radio 2.

Presenter Jeremy Clarkson then reportedly gave the green light – paving the way for her big debut on the hit show.

Amy (24) recently headlined the Pepsi Max stage at the Hard Rock Festival in London – which also featured Bruce Springsteen, John Fogerty and Paul Simon.

She plays Glasgow’s O2 ABC on October 30 and 31, with the first date a sell-out.

She told fans via Twitter: “Glasgow I love you. First gig at the O2 ABC sold out in only five days. Some tickets left for the second date. See you there!”

Amy – originally from Bishopbriggs – has sold over four million albums across Europe.
