A TEENAGER was rushed to hospital after being stabbed on Friday evening.

The attack happened at around 7.10pm on July 1 at Lenzie Moss and police quickly cordoned off the area to investigate.

Police have arrested a 16-year-old in connection with the assault, who was expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court earlier this week.

A police spokesman said: “We received a report that a 14-year-old had sustained wounds during an altercation at the Moss near Alexandra Avenue in Lenzie.

“He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and is currently in a stable condition.”
