A MAN has died following a disturbance at a house in Bishopbriggs.
Emergency services rushed to the home of Satpal Ghusar (52), in Mailing Avenue, just before 9am on Tuesday.

It's been revealed that Mr Ghusar has died from his injuries.

His 32-year-old son, who has not been named by police, remains in a stable condition in Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Ailsa Road, Eileen Gardens, and part of Mailing Avenue remained closed to the public on Wednesday afternoon, while forensic teams and CID searched the area for evidence.

A police dog unit and police helicopter were called in to assist in the investigation.

Neighbours in the quiet street were alerted to the incident by the sound of sirens and the noise from a police helicopter overhead.

One resident said: "We had no idea anything had happened until we heard all the sirens.

"I took my young son to school shortly before.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the alleged assault involving Mr Ghusar's
32-year-old son.

Police enquiries into the death of Satpal Ghusar are continuing.
