FURIOUS councillors stormed out of a meeting last week amid claims of a 'carve-up' behind the scenes.
The mass walkout by opposition members sparked chaos at an important meeting.
Eight SNP members and two Independent Alliance councillors angrily left the chambers at Tom Johnston House.
It has been claimed the protest was staged as a deal had been struck behind the scenes to get Liberal Democrat Eric Gotts elected as Provost and secure prime roles for Labour and Tory councillors.
However, the allegation has been branded "a conspiracy theory" by the Labour/Tory administration.
