CHURCH members united for the Good Friday Procession of the Cross through Lenzie and Kirkintilloch.
Around 100 people and members of 10 congregations came together for the walk which began at Lenzie Old Parish Church before following a route via Lenzie Union Parish Church, St Cyprian's Episcopal Church, Kirkintilloch Baptist Church, St Mary's Parish Church, Holy Family and St Ninian's Church, ending at St David's Memorial Park Church.

At a ceremony after the procession, organised by Action of Churches Together in Scotland (ACTS), a cross was pieced together by representative members of each congregation.

The Reverend Mark Johnstone, of St Mary's Parish Church, said: "There was a real sense of people coming together, symbolically joining the cross and literally during the procession."
