STUNNED drivers slammed on the brakes this week after spotting a BULL in the road.
Police received several reports from motorists who passed the lost animal on Monday at around 9.25am in Robroyston.

The bull was said to be walking near to Asda.

One Bishopbriggs resident who caught a glimpse of the animal said: "It was absolutely massive. It was just trotting along, quite unconcerned.

"It must have been a shock for anybody looking out their back window and seeing him munching on their prize blooms!"

A police spokesperson said the bull had wandered from a nearby farm and the owner had been alerted to take him home.

Meanwhile, thieves broke into a florist and made-off with a stash of cash and goods over £1,500.

The incident at P&A Flowers in Siemens Place, Germiston, took place between 2.15pm last Thursday and 4am on Friday.

Two laptops, worth around £1,600 and £1,500, were stolen.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact police on 0141 532 4100.
