A TIME capsule has been buried to give future generations an insight into the history of Stobhill Hospital.
Andrew Robertson, chairman of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, lowered the capsule into place on the site of the new ACAD at a ceremony last Friday.

He was joined by Springburn MSP Paul Martin and pupils from Auchinairn and Elmvale primary schools.

The children contributed to the 160 items enclosed in the capsule, which included written stories from the Friends of Springburn Park, taped reminiscences collected by Springburn Local History Group and newspaper clippings.

Audrey Matthews, a nurse who trained at Stobhill in 1967 and who has worked at the hospital ever since, also helped select the items. The time capsule is pictured being lowered into place.
