Tribute to a 'lovely boy'
A MEMORIAL service was held today (Thursday) at the primary school of a boy murdered alongside his younger brother.
Paul Ross, who was six, and two-year-old jay were killed and left in a car parked in a layby on Crow Road, Lennoxtown on Saturday.
The special service, held at Royston Primary School, was conducted by former school chaplain Russell McLarty and attended by pupils, teachers and their parents.
A pear tree was planted in the school garden and pupils tied individual ribbons to the fence around the garden as a mark of respect.
Mr McLarty said: "I asked the head teacher, Elizabeth Davidson, to describe Paul and she said he was a lovely boy, almost perfect."
"There is a deep sense of grief and loss at the school as Royston is a very close family.
"Each of the ribbons on the fence was put there by the children, and it gave every single one of them a sense of being involved."
