TRAFFIC calming measures are needed on a busy road before someone is killed.
That’s the plea from worried residents following another crash in Balmuildy Road in Bishopbriggs.
Some feel the only solution to curb the speed of vehicles on the 30mph stretch is traffic calming measures.
Mum Lynn Sweeney, who lives in Stirling Drive, said: “For quite a number of years we have asked for speed
bumps, but were told they couldn’t be put in because it’s a main road.
“What really worries me is the corner of the wall is where a lot of kids sit and wait for friends or their
mum or dad picking them up from the Leisuredrome.”
Another resident in Stirling Drive believes that a speed camera is the answer.
