Local youngsters are being encouraged to get arty and crafty this Easter with a programme of events and activities centred around the theme of ‘Our Wonderful World’.

East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture (EDLC) Trust has put together a bumper schedule with something for everyone in libraries, cultural centres and community halls across the area.

Highlights include ‘Weebeasties’, a drop-in family event with stories and messy art activities, and ‘Drawing with Light’, an art event involving cameras, glowsticks and mobile phones.

Meanwhile ‘Don’t Lose Your Bottle’ asks youngsters to bring along plastic bottles which will be given an artistic makeover, and ‘The Worm: An Underground Adventure’ is a fun-filled musical tale about the world beneath our feet.

Finally ‘Twitawoo’ is an entertaining family show presented by The Puppet Lab.

It brings to life a host of fabulous Scottish woodland creatures in a funny and mischievous way.
