Anchor Boys from 1st/2nd Milngavie Boys Brigade presented a cheque for £1, 400.50 to the Boys Brigade world mission secretary Mr Roy Inglis at their recent parents night.

This year the Boys Brigade world mission fund is supporting “Kit for Kenya” to enable members of the Boys Brigade in Africa to get uniforms and buy sewing machines to make their own.

The boys also get taught life skills as part of the project.

1st/2nd Milngavie Boys Brigade Anchor section has won the World Mission highest fundraisers for five years in succession.

Val Dunn, Anchor Boys Officer In Charge, said: “This year’s total is just amazing. We are very proud of our boys and grateful to everyone who got behind them and sponsored them in their games challenge night.

“I’d also like to thank all the staff who worked so hard. This is an amazing success for our boys - well done!”
