Police at Kirkintilloch are appealing for information to help trace a teenage boy who is missing from the Bishopbriggs area.

David Lothian (16) was last seen in the town around 11.10am on Sunday November 8.

He vanished without vital medication he needs to take on a daily basis.

The young man is around 5ft 8, of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a dark blue polo shirt, grey jogging bottoms and white ‘Nike’ training shoes when he disappeared.

David has friends in the Bonnyrigg and Edinburgh areas and it is believed he may have tried to hitch hike there as he has no money or phone with him.

Sergeant Scott Wandrum at Kirkintilloch Police Office said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for David’s safety and welfare. He is not dressed appropriately for today’s severe weather and he is not in possession of medication he is required to take on a daily basis.

“Anyone who has seen David or anyone who knows of his present whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland immediately via telephone number 101.”
