Appeal after thugs attack Bishopbriggs man in his home

Two hooded men seriously assaulted a 49-year-old man after forcing their way into his home in Bishopbriggs.

Police are appealing for information after the incident in Kincardine Drive on Sunday, November 23 around 4.30pm.

An ambulance took the injured man to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for lacerations to his head and then released.

One of his assailants was described as white, 20-30 years-old of medium height and build. He was wearing a grey tracksuit with his hood up.

The second was around the same age and build with a green tracksuit, top and blue jeans.

Detective Constable Alyson Paton, of Kirkintilloch Police Office said: “Enquiries are currently ongoing in relation to this attack.

“We have conducted door-to-door enquiries and have analysed available CCTV. What we do understand at this stage, is that this man been assaulted without any sort of provocation.”

“I am keen for anyone who observed the incident to come forward.

“I ask anyone with information to contact Kirkintilloch Police office on 101 or to contact CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.”
