Are your children safely belted up in the back?

Parents have been invited to take advantage of a free in-car safety clinic.

The Scottish Good Egg In-Car Safety Campaign is now in its twelfth year and is designed to ensure that babies and children are properly restrained while traveling in the car.

There will be a clinic at ASDA Bishopbriggs on Monday, August 5, from 10am-3pm, and could potentially save young lives.

Last year, 66 car seats were checked, with 33 correctly fitted, 19 showing minor faults, 12 with major faults and two completely incompatible with the vehicle.

Councillor Ashay Ghai, the council’s convener of neighbourhood services, said: “This annual campaign is always extremely popular in East Dunbartonshire and I am sure, as in previous years, that many parents will take advantage of this opportunity.”
