A MUSEUM’S summer exhibition is showcasing the work of an artistic husband and wife.

Neil Macdonald and Alice McMurrough, from Kirkintilloch, both graduated from Glasgow School of Art in the mid-1970s and since then have had successful careers as professional artists.

They have now teamed up for the first time ever for the exhibition entitled ‘Petrified Vision’ at Kirkintilloch’s Auld Kirk Museum.

Alice says the couple are “excited but not nervous” about exhibiting in their home town.

The mum-of-two added: “We have got to know Peter McCormick, the curator of the Auld Kirk, over the years and he suggested that we do a joint show.

“We’ve been involved in the community for many years and people have been very supportive. This is now a chance for the community to see our artistic statement.”
