Auchinairn plans on show

The latest plans for a new purpose-built community facility in Auchinairn were put on display at a recent public event.

Residents heard from members of the local Community Reference Group - who have been involved in the design process. Representatives from the Council, the architect and Glasgow City Football Club were also there to answer questions.

There was also a presentation from Glasgow City Foundation - a charitable foundation linked to Glasgow City Football Club - to let people know more about the organisation and the benefits they hope to bring to Auchinairn.

Glasgow City Foundation has expressed interest developing a new sports facility for young people which would act as a base for the new Glasgow City Foundation, Youth Academy and First Team.

Reference Group member Donna Anderson, who lives in Auchinairn said: “The open evening was good.

“It was nice to be able to speak to some local residents that came along to let them know what we have achieved so far.”
