The 1st Bearsden Guide Unit is delighted to be celebrating their Centenary this year.

It was first registered in June 1916 and has run continually since then making it the oldest unit in the Guiding County of Dunbartonshire.

The 1st Bearsden Guides have been doing a series of challenges and badges to celebrate their 100 years.

They have completed ”Go for Its” and have had a weekend camp.

Their activities are culminating in a tea party on Sunday, June 12 at the Bearsden Guide hall on Pendicle Road, to which former 1st Guides and leaders are invited.

Helen Anderson, a Leader of 1st Bearsden Guides said: “This is a fantastic milestone that we have achieved.

“We would love to invite and celebrate with everyone who has been involved over the years, as without them we would never have reached our centenary.”
