Body of missing Springburn man found in River Clyde

The body of a vulnerable missing man who disappeared from hospital has been recovered from the River Clyde.

William Lethan, 50, from Springburn, was last seen leaving Glasgow Royal Infirmary at about 5.30pm on Sunday, December 21.

A major search was launched but police said on Monday his body was recovered from Bowling Harbour in West Dunbartonshire, on Wednesday, December 24.

A police spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
