A caring young girl has sacrificed her long hair to help children with cancer.

Brooklyn Burke (8), from Lennoxtown, had 14 inches of her hair cut off in aid of the Little Princess Trust towards the end of last month.

The dramatic hair cut was carried out by hairdresses Lynette Gallacher Barr at Lennoxtown’s Vanity Hair & Beauty.

Proud mum Colleen Burke said: “Brooklyn has now raised over £350 for the Little Princess Trust.

Many thanks to all who have kindly supported Brooklyn - especially St Machan’s Primary School and Cafe Barga.

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs to kids across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
