Making sure there are public toilets in Milngavie town centre and improving Lennox Park are just two of the suggestions from people who took part in a community consultation last year.
The postal and online survey was organised by an offshoot organisation of Milngavie Community Council, calledMaking The Most of Milngavie (MMM).
Their aim was to take the results of the 1300 surveys which showed how people felt about working and living in Milngavie and then create a Community Action Plan (CAP).
This 16 page document will then be available to study and comment on at a public meeting in Milngavie Town Hall on Thursday, January 14 at 7pm.
Callum Christie, a founding member of MMM, said: “Many hours were spent collating all the replies to the survey, and eventually were distilled into a series of themes and project ideas.
“Themes were diverse and covered community support to green spaces to young people.
“Project ideas ranged from creating a masterplan for lennox Park to making sure there are adequate public toielts in Milngavie town centre.”
You can see the CAP on the www.milngaviedt.co.uk website or there are free copies at Milngavie library.
Callum added: “The next step is to create a Community Development Trust, with charitable status, which would be run by volunteers and would be able to apply for funding from a variety of sources to enable us to carry out the project ideas in the CAP.
“I’d urge as many local residents as possible to come along to this important meeting so they can have their say.”
