Car crime – back windscreen shattered and van targeted in the last few days

VANDALS smashed the back windscreen of a car at the weekend – landing the owner a £75 repair bill.

The Seat Ibiza was targeted in Grainger Road, Bishopbriggs, overnight between Sunday, September 30, and Monday morning.

Witnesses should contact Kirkintilloch Police on 0141 532 4400.

Police are also looking for witnesses after a sat-nav was snatched from a Vauxhall van.

The theft happened in Ceres Gardens, Bishopbriggs, overnight between Thursday, September 27, and Friday, September 28.

Meanwhile, two motorists were allegedly caught speeding on the same road within 45 minutes of one another.

The first, a 53-year-old man, was pulled over by police in Crosshill Road, Bishopbriggs, at around 5.30pm on Saturday, September 29.

Then, at around 6.15pm, a 21-year-old man, was stopped on the same road, in Lenzie.
