HOOPS legends who have notched up more than 100 goals for the Glasgow club have been honoured by a local poetic legend.

Tam Craven, from Lennoxtown, will release his latest volume, entitled ‘Celtic Diamonds in Dreams’, at Kirkintilloch’s Regent Centre on Friday, December 23, from 10am-4pm.

The poem hails the 28 players who have scored more than 100 goals for the Hoops since the club was formed in 1888.

Tam told the Herald: “I wrote it after a dream I had.

“In the dream I was five-years-old and being lifted over the turnstile at Parkhead by my father.”

Tam is also going digital - with all of his works now available on Kindle - while four of his most popular books have been reprinted, including ‘Take Me Drunk, I’m Hame’.
