IT might seem early, but it’s time to act if you want a bit of cheer this Christmas.
Tickets are now on sale for a popular fundraising Christmas concert.
The annual event is staged by Springfield Cambridge Festival Chorus and Orchestra (Bishopbriggs Churches Together) in aid of the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).
This year’s concert – the 10th – will take place at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Tuesday, December 20, at 7.30pm. It is entitled ‘Rejoice’ and will be directed as ever by Lennoxtown man Alan Craid, director of music at Langside College.
He said: “Begin your Christmas celebrations in style by getting into the festive spirit with the Bishopbriggs-based chorus and 40-piece “pops” orchestra for a joyful, contemplative and uplifting seasonal programme.”
All proceeds will be donated to CHAS.
Ticket prices £10, £12 and £14 are available from today (Wednesday, September 7) at Bishopbriggs Box Office (call 07811 344 307) located at Cadder Church South Hall, Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs, on Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am-noon, or from the concert hall box office – (0141) 353 8000.
Alan added: “Please let family and friends know about the concert. Everyone’s support is greatly welcomed.”
