This evening (Wednesday, October 2) sees the first in a series of fascinating evenings being held by the Chryston Discussion Group.

The fortnightly meetings are held in the Chryston Cultural Centre, located in Chryston High School, Lindsaybeg Road.

The format of these evenings is that invited speakers give informative talks, often accompanied by a visual overhead on their subject. Tea and biscuits are served up to accompany the talks.

This coming session, which runs until March, includes talks like ‘My life in the Household Cavalry’ and ‘Tokyo Experience’.

New members to the group will be warmly welcomed, with a broad range of subjects to be covered.
