Church group fly to war-torn country

A team of nine from Bishopbriggs Community Church are visiting Rwanda this month to strengthen links with three communities situated in the hills of the African country’s Western Province

The Bishopbriggs team will be part of a larger team going to Rwanda with the Kilsyth based charity, Comfort Rwanda & Congo, who have been working with genocide survivors in Rwanda since 1999.

This visit will include the handing over of more homes in Bisesero which have recently been completed, the repair of two homes in Gishyita and Mubuga and a youth camp in Bisesero.

A spokesperson said: “As a team we would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who have supported us with donations to enable us to make the trip, do the house repairs and fund the youth camp.”
