More than 1,000 people flocked to Woodhill’s biggest and best Family Fun Day which was held recently.

Now in its sixth year, the fun and games took place at Etive Park and a range of new attractions, along with sunny weather, brought out the visitors.

Donald Macdonald, chairman of Woodhill Residents’ Group said: “This is the biggest crowd we have ever experienced.

“We had extra attractions and the weather was fantastic, which was a great combination.”

Children enjoyed the thrill of a bungee ride, an assault course and a traditional roundabout, as well as the ever popular bouncy castles.

Other added attractions included a beer tent for adults and a range of sports games courtesy of A-Star Sports.

The cash raised from the fun event will be put towards improvements to Etive Park.

Donald said: “This event is always a popular one in the local community.

“From the funds raised we are looking to further engage with the local community to enhance Etive Park and other local greenspaces.”

He added: “We would also like to say a special thank you to the pupils from Turnbull High School who came along to help at the fun day as part of a voluntary project they are involved in. Their support was invaluable.”
