Dangers facing youngsteras online was one of the topics discussed at a recent child protection conference hosted by East Dunbartonshire Council.
The conference welcomed 140 professionals from health, social work, education, police and charity organisation.
Council leader Rhondda Geekie, who opened the conference, said: “The on-line world has an ever present and growing place in everyone’s life, particularly children and young people. Amongst the many strengths in this form of media there are emerging challenges and risks. It is essential practitioners remain up-to-date and informed in order to support our most vulnerable children and young people.
“Together, partners are making a positive difference in our communities and making notable improvements in the wellbeing of children.”
