Crooks target house and cars in Kirkintilloch and Balmore

RAIDERS stole personal items and caused damage at a house in Kirkintilloch last week.

A ring and loose change were taken during the break-in at a property in Barrhill Road overnight between Friday, January 4, and Saturday, January 5.

The raiders caused around £100 worth of damage during the break-in.

Police are asking anybody with information about the crime to contact them on 0141 532 4400.

Meanwhile, a car was stolen from a quiet residential street last week.

The Rover 200 vehicle was taken from New Branziet, in the village of Balmore.

The crime happened at some point between Friday, January 4, and Saturday, January 5.

In a separate incident a car was vandalised in Bridgeway Terrace, Kirkintilloch, between 3pm and 7.30pm on Sunday, January 6.

The blue Mazda was scratched down the full length of the passenger side. Anyone with info is asked to call police.
