DEBRIS from potholes caused by the ‘Big Freeze’ has finally been cleared from a busy road.
Concerns had been raised about lumps of tarmac and stones on Beech Road, in Bishopbriggs.
A spokesperson for Bishopbriggs Community Council said: “We are pleased this has finally been cleared up. Attention to the road surface is long overdue.”
David Devine, head of roads and neighbourhood services for East Dunbartonshire Council, said: “Beech Road was swept on May 26 as part of the routine street sweeping programme.
“It will be reinspected and swept again if necessary.”
