Drug arrests in Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs

POLICE have swooped on suspected drug users during the Easter break.

On Good Friday, police charged three people with possession of cannabis – a 22-year-old man at 5pm in Fossil Grove, Kirkintilloch, a 38-year-old man at 8.25pm in Whitehill Avenue, Kirkintilloch, and a 17-year-old man at 10.10pm in Old Balmore Road, Bishopbriggs.

The next day a 24-year-old man was allegedly caught with cocaine at around 12.40am in Woodhill Road, Bishopbriggs.

Then, on Easter Sunday at around 1.35pm, a 21-year-old man was charged with alleged possession of cannabis in Ross Avenue, Kirkintilloch.

Meanwhile, police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted break-in.

A house in Lammermoor Crescent, Kirkintilloch, was targeted between 10am and 10pm on Saturday, April 7.
