Enter a magical underwater world at Loch Lomond Shores Sea Life Aquarium

If you are looking for something fun to do at the weekend - why not go to the Sea Life Aquarium at Loch Lomond Shores.

Reporter Laura Sturrock visited recently to see what was on offer, and although it’s primarily a place for family days out she discovered it’s also great fun for adults and very educational.

She said: “The last time I visited I didn’t time it very well and I didn’t see the otters as they were having a nap but this time they were wide awake and very playful.

“They were having a great time swimming in their pool and it was brilliant to see them performing tasks to get their food.

“I also touched a starfish and an anemone and saw the octopus - which changes colour to fit in with it’s surroundings.

“I loved the starfish and the jellyfish as well - they were lovely to watch.

“The sharks and giant green sea turtle were pretty amazing too.”

The Sea Life Aquarium is just 30 minutes from Glasgow, situated on the stunning Loch Lomond Shores.

There are seven themed zones in the underwater tunnels, including a tropical ocean.

There’s also an observation deck for unrivalled views of Loch Lomond, and a café.

They are open 7 days a week 10am-5pm (last admission at 4pm).
