Fancy bumping into you here!

A DRAGONFLY expert was delighted to bump into a face from the past when he gave a talk recently.

Former Lenzie Academy pupil Jonathan Willet, now a biodiversity officer for Highland Council, was visiting Lenzie Old Parish Church to give a talk on dragonflies and damselflies (below).

He was amazed to see an early inspiration – his former science teacher – David Walkinshaw in the audience and the pair caught-up afterwards.

Jonathan said: “I left Lenzie Academy in 1988 and it was a complete surprise to see him.”

Jonathan and David are pictured at the event, which was organised by the Friends of Lenzie Moss.
