An investigation has been launched to find out the cause of a fire that tore through an unoccupied industrial unit yesterday evening.
The blaze took hold in the building, in Kirkintilloch’s Woodilee Road, at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, October 29.
Around 40 firefighters battled the flames and police and fire services were still on site on Wednesday morning.
Crews and fire engines from East Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire and Glasgow all attended the blaze, using high-pressure water jets, an aerial appliance and thermal cameras.
A fire service spokesperson said the cause had not been established and would be the subject of a joint investigation with Police Scotland.
