Inspiration is needed to uncover a fresh future in forgotten corners and abandoned areas of East Dunbartonshire.
Groups are being encouraged to transform under-used green spaces, stalled development sites or vacant and derelict land.
East Dunbartonshire Council is one of seven authorities awarded funding to deliver Stalled Spaces Scotland.
The programme gives local community groups the chance to secure funds of up to £3,000 to improve under-used spaces - primarily in town centres.
Potential ideas could include temporary food-growing projects, community gardens, market places, wildflower meadows, outdoor gyms, natural play areas, event and performance spaces, and temporary public art.
Projects from Rosebank Allotment Association and Bearsden Baptist Church are already going ahead, while discussions are progressing with groups in a further two locations.
