POLICE are warning residents to be on their guard following a series of shed break-ins.
A number of sheds have been broken into in the Forresthall Estate in Springburn recently, including four over a two day period.
Police say the padlocks on the sheds had been broken and a number of items, including power tools and bikes, had been stolen.
A spokesperson for Springburn Police said: “As the winter months approach we are experiencing an upturn in the volume of acquisitive crime, in particular break-ins to sheds and other outbuildings.
“We encourage all residents in the area to be extra vigilant and security conscious at this time, making their property as secure as possible and looking out for each other in the community.
“It is important to contact your local police office if you notice anything suspicious that may lead to property being stolen and call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you have any information on those responsible of such crimes.”
