NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde board failed to hit a key A&E waiting target, according to the latest weekly figures.

And Glasgow Royal Infirmary, which serves the people of Kirkintilloch, Bishopbriggs and the surrounding areas, was one of the two worst performers in Scotland.

The Scottish Government has set an interim target of 95 per cent of patients being either admitted, transferred or discharged within four hours.

The Royal was 90.8 per cent, just above the worst, the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley at 90.7 per cent.
