Golf trolley theft not par for the course

POLICE are on the trail of tee-leaves who stole a golf cart.

The trolley, worth £109, was taken from a shed in the grounds of Bishopbriggs Golf Club on Brackenbrae Road between 2pm on Sunday, April 10 and 9am on Thursday, April 14.

Meanwhile, tools worth more than £200 have been stolen from a van in Kirkintilloch.

The tools were taken from a white transit van in Lenzie Road between 4pm on Thursday, April 14 and 8.40am on Friday, April 15.

Police say the van window had been smashed to gain access to the tools.
