POLICE swooped on a group of seven people after an alleged gun scare near Celtic Football Club’s Lennoxtown training ground.
The drama unfolded late on Sunday, May 8, when police were called out to the ground following reports that a member of the public had seen a person handling a firearm.
Five women and two men were detained outside the centre and later charged with possessing a weapon and intending to cause fear and violence.
They appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last Tuesday.
The seven made no plea and were released on bail.
