Gun shot smashes window in unoccupied Drumchapel flat

At least one shot was fired from a firearm breaking a window in an unoccupied flat in Drumchapel at around 12.25am on Tuesday.

No one was injured although detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have information surrounding this unusual crime at the flat in Southdeen Avenue.

A white Ford Transit officers suspect may be involved in the incident was found abandoned on Achamore Road, nearby was discovered a short time later.

An incident room has been set up at Drumchapel Police Office and Detective Inspector Greig Wilkie said: “Enquiries are continuing in the area with officers carrying out door to door enquiries and studying CCTV footage. I would urge anyone with information that may assist our enquiry, or who saw the white Ford Transit van in the area around the time of the incident to contact us through 101.
