Headbutt driver allegedly fractured skull of 10-year-old

A MAN has been charged with the attempted murder of a 10-year-old boy in Springburn.

The boy was allegedly throwing stones at a car driven by the accused in Springburn Road, at the junction with Fountainwell Road, at around 2.55pm on Sunday, October 16.

The 25-year-old man is alleged to have got out the car and head-butted the boy. The injured youngster was taken to hospital where his injuries included a fractured skull, a fractured bone in his ear and bleeding to the brain.

Police arrested the man and he was expected to appear in court this week.
