RUGBY fans are enjoying the Lions tour and are eagerly looking forward to the British and Irish Lions Tests versus Australia over three Saturdays – starting this weekend, June 22.

Allan Glen’s RFC in Bishopbriggs are ready to create an exciting and noisy atmosphere to cheer on the team – and everyone is welcome to go along and hear the Lions roar at breakfast in the Allan Glen’s Clubhouse.

Breakfast rolls will be served from 10am this Saturday as the tension mounts towards the big game.

Everyone is invited to go along to enjoy the food and watch the game. There is a nominal cost to cover expenses and anyone interested can speak to Steve McConnell on 07789 724450.

Rugby club president Graeme Thomson said: “We are proud of our friendly community club and the guys from our Academy up through to the senior players and supporters have all encouraged us to go to the effort with the Lions Breakfast.

“I am sure the presence of a few Aussies will add to the flavour of the morning, but the majority will be hoping there are no successes for the Aussie lion tamers.

“I would encourage anyone interested to come along and they will be made very welcome.”
