A LEADING housebuilder has teamed up with the Herald to support a worthy cause in the Bishopbriggs area.

Taylor Wimpey has launched its Community Chest Appeal, looking for people to nominate a local charity or deserving recipient to receive a £500 donation.

Perhaps you know of a youth club in Bishopbriggs trying to raise cash for new equipment, a youth football club in need of new kit or a local charity looking for extra funds to continue its vital work.

Whatever the cause, big or small, Taylor Wimpey is asking people in Bishopbriggs to tell them all about it.

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, explained: “We’ve always tried to support the local communities in which we build, which is why we’ve decided to launch our Community Chest Appeal here in Bishopbriggs.

“We will select the cause we feel is in most need of our support to receive this £500 donation.

“By launching this appeal we hope to be able to help a local charity or great cause so we’re really looking forward to receiving nominations.”

To nominate a charity or deserving cause, e-mail hazel.taylor@redangelpr.co.uk with details about the organisation and what the donation will be used for.

Please clearly mark your e-mail Community Chest Appeal.

Alternatively, send your nomination to Community Chest Appeal, Red Angel PR, 7 Bonaly Wester, Colinton, Edinburgh, EH13 0RQ.

The closing date for entries is May 8, 2013.
